What is Fit4Digital, in one sentence?

A Luxinnovation programme that subsidises 50% to 70% of an approved consultant's fees (€3,000 to €125,000 excl. VAT) to analyse your digitalisation and produce a costed roadmap.

What changes in 2026?

The eligible budget rises from a €5,000 lump sum to a €125,000 maximum, large companies become eligible, rates are harmonised (70/60/50%) and Luxinnovation files the MyGuichet.lu application for you. Audits already under way keep the previous format.

Is my company eligible?

Yes if it is incorporated and headquartered in Luxembourg, carries out its main activity there and holds a business permit from the Ministry of the Economy. All sizes are accepted. The primary sector and entities licensed by another regulator (banks, insurers) are excluded.

70% of fees for a small enterprise, 60% for a medium-sized one, 50% for a large one, on a quote of €3,000 to €125,000 excl. VAT. That is up to €87,500 in aid for a small enterprise.

How long does a mission last?

Six months maximum. The Ministry decides within two months of receiving the complete file, but the mission can start as soon as the MyGuichet.lu receipt is issued.

Does Fit4Digital fund implementation (software, integrator)?

No. Fit4Digital funds the analysis and roadmap. Implementation can be co-funded by SME Packages, or investment or consultancy aid from the Ministry of the Economy. Luxinnovation identifies these schemes at the final presentation.

Must my project be about an ERP?

No. Fit4Digital covers any digitalisation topic: strategy, data, BI, automation, CRM, infrastructure, document management, IoT… Only cybersecurity and AI fall under other Fit4 programmes.

How does Vecter get paid?

On a transparent daily rate, communicated when signing the engagement letter. No vendor commission, no partner kickback, no hidden percentage.

What is Fit4Digital?

Fit4Digital is a Luxinnovation programme that lets Luxembourg companies engage an approved consultant to assess their digital maturity, dig into a specific topic and prepare the next steps of their transformation. The consultant's fees are subsidised by the Ministry of the Economy.

The programme was redesigned in 2026. The eligible budget rises from a €5,000 lump sum to a maximum of €125,000, and the scope widens: beyond a general diagnostic, Fit4Digital now funds in-depth studies, such as the full preparation of an ERP project through to integrator selection.

Every mission ends with a costed roadmap: prioritised, time-bound actions, with the costs and human resources required. Implementing the recommendations is not funded by Fit4Digital, but it can be by other schemes (SME Packages, Ministry of the Economy aid).

In short:the State covers 50% to 70% of an independent consultant's fees to analyse your digital situation and prepare your project. Vecter is one of the consultants approved by Luxinnovation.

Fit4Digital is now open to companies of any size, including large enterprises. Three cumulative conditions apply.

Permit: valid business permit issued by the Ministry of the Economy

Good to know

No sector is excluded, except the primary sector (agriculture).
Companies licensed by another ministry or regulator (banks, insurers) are not eligible.
Companies in financial difficulty become eligible.
Prerequisite: complete the Light Digital Maturity Assessment (LDMA), a free self-assessment of under 30 minutes provided by Luxinnovation.

Fundable studies

Building on the LDMA report, the consultant carries out an in-depth analysis on one or more digitalisation dimensions. Examples of studies listed in the programme specifications:

Digital strategy and roadmap, change management and adoption plan
ERP project preparation: process mapping, technical and functional specifications, call for tenders, integrator selection
CRM project preparation: sales cycle, information flows, specifications, solution benchmark
Data: data architecture, data governance and quality, BI and reporting
Process automation and systems integration
IT infrastructure and cloud, digital workplace, document management
IoT, green digitalisation and sector-specific assessments (BIM, MES, WMS…)

Cybersecurity and AI:studies on these two topics fall under the dedicated Fit4Cybersecurity and Fit4AI programmes, not Fit4Digital.

Eligible costs are exclusively the consultant's fees (excluding travel), based on a quote between €3,000 and €125,000 excl. VAT. The aid is a capital grant at a fixed rate depending on company size, awarded by the Ministry of the Economy.

Worked example:a small enterprise engages Vecter to prepare its ERP project (mapping, specifications, call for tenders, integrator selection) for €40,000 excl. VAT. Fit4Digital aid: 70% × €40,000 = €28,000. Remaining cost: €12,000.

The procedure has been simplified: Luxinnovation now files the aid application on MyGuichet.lu on the company's behalf. Vecter supports you at every step.

An approved, independent consultant

Only consultants referenced by Luxinnovation can carry out a Fit4Digital mission. Referencing requires experienced experts and commercial independence: a provider whose main business is selling, integrating or maintaining software cannot be approved if that activity could bias its recommendations.
